Advocating
For Change
Every report we publish, every bill we push, and every training we run starts with the same question: what do Latino families in Rhode Island actually need? We build our work from the answer.
Data that Matters, Stories that Move
Our research blends numbers and narratives. We look at what the data says, then we listen to what people are living. The result is work that policymakers, educators, and community leaders can use.
Policies That Reflect Our Community
LPI advocates for policies that expand healthcare access, improve schools, protect voting rights, and create economic opportunity for Latino families. We bring research, relationships, and community voices to every conversation.
Building Community Power
We run advocacy trainings and town halls across Rhode Island. We connect communities to resources and to each other. Because research and policy only create change when people are ready to push for it.
Focus Areas
LPI concentrates on four areas where Latino communities in Rhode Island face the most significant gaps.
Equidad Educativa
Supporting Latino students from early education through college completion.
Acceso a la atención médica
Advocating for improved physical and mental health services.
Civic Engagement
Strengthening voter empowerment and community participation.
Justicia económica
Driving equitable policies for Latino families and workers.
